Now juxtapose that to this bit of miscarriage of justice and Sharia Law in America from Jihadwatch (2nd embed at link)...
Go read the rest of this travesty. Warning: take three deep breaths and/or duct tape your head first, you may lose a gasket...

Let me begin by saying some nice things about the Navy SEAL movie Act of Valor. The SEALS who star in it aren’t good actors, but they aren’t bad actors either. None will win an Academy Award, but all managed to appear relaxed on-screen and seem like real people, not like real people struggling with a script.
The action scenes are every bit as good as advertised: watching the SEALS glide through the jungles of Costa Rica, emerge like alligators from dark tropical waters, fire their guns from trucks while dozens of bad guys are shooting right back, jumping from planes

Today I saw a television commercial with many participants, all of them wearing tee-shirts with the slogan “Don’t stand for intolerance.” After the camera panned in on the slogan so we watchers could read it, all the participants sat down. I presume that the message was that they were not standing for intolerance. Does that mean that we are supposed to be tolerant of any behavior? While I guess that we are supposed to be tolerant of “alternate” lifestyles (the purpose of the commercial), are we also supposed to be tolerant of mediocrity, the results of public education, union behavior,

ROBINSON: Well, the polls are not with them, the voters are not with them, so, so clearly it’s not a winning issue. I mean, they can’t believe this is, this is a good idea politically. So, I mean, the only thing I can figure out, Rachel, is that’s based on a wrong and frankly insane belief that a fertilized egg is a fully formed person and has personhood and that, you know, preventing the implantation of that egg is some-, is murder. I don’t, you know, it baffles me as to what other explanation there could be. They can be

Outrage of the day: The Academy Awards folks banned shock comedian Sacha Baron Cohen from its ceremonies this week. Then did only with caveats. Then didn't know what to do. It all shows a certain death of propriety, not just in Hollywood (where its been dead a long time in most cases), but in the US in general.

Buzzfeed was the first to indulge it's inner gossip -- well, maybe its outer gossip since that is all that site is; gossip. Anyway, the stupid story of the day is based on the hearty handshake that Rick Santorum gave Ron Paul after Wednesday's debates. Paul's fans took offense at the handshake for some idiotic reason and now it is the "thing" to talk about it.

political optics have never been Barack Obama's strong suit.
He talks, by golly, about ending special tax breaks so that every American pays their fair share, while 36 of his own aides owe the IRS more than $833,000 in back taxes.
He urges Americans to vacation on the beleaguered Gulf Coast while his wife flies with pals to a luxury hotel in Spain. He promises the most open government in history and VP Joe Biden meets with the chief of administration transparency -- in a closed meeting. Twice. So, Thursday...

Is the United States fighting a global war on terror or not?
If the United States is fighting a GWOT (aka Overseas Contingency Operations for you Obama liberals out there), and we most definitely are, do covert monitoring operations reside so far outside of the realm of acceptability as an appropriate course of action?
A better way to ask the question might be whether this NYPD surveillance of mosques and schools by one of the critical law enforcement entities tasked with protecting New York City, home to Ground Zero, a wrong tactic...

The song may say you only hurt the one you love, but in politics you hurt the one who gives you nightmares and Marco Rubio makes democrats wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat screaming at the top of their progressive lungs. Anybody who articulates conservatism as well as Rubio, who ties it to the American dream and presents it as the best hope for the average Joe in this country would frighten the Democrats. Rubio however, has two other significant and fear inducing things going for him.

Once Barack Obama said that babies were a punishment:
“Look, I got two daughters — 9 years old and 6 years old,” he said. “I am going to teach them first about values and morals, but if they make a mistake, I don’t want them punished with a baby.
But now we learn that in Obamacare, pregnancy is not simply a punishment, it is a disease.
