What seems clear to me about this, and I'll allow that I could be as wrong as I could be right, is that the mother's initial words were heartfelt, her initial words came from a place deep in her soul, her initial words may very well have been a healing balm of sorts for many... and then her race-pimping, race-baiting, agenda driven handlers stepped in... and she was led to retract her statement...

Unbelievably North Korea tested its missile, breaking a promise it made to the United States and the U.N. Security Council! Luckily North Korea is even more inept than the the U.N. and the Obama administration and the test failed! When will the world finally learn that negotiating with rogue nations and terrorists is absolutely worthless...

As James Carville once said, "it's the economy stupid!" and according to a just-released Rasmussen poll American voters trust Mitt Romney by a wide 49%-39% margin. In fact Romney topped Obama in four of the five issues;economy, health care, taxes, and (just barely energy policy). Obama leads in national security. The last time Rasmussen asked the question (March), the American Public felt the economy was the number one issue, 20% higher than number two (health care).

“”If you don’t have a record to run on, then you paint your opponent as someone people should run from….You make a big election about small things,” ” – Barack Obama 08/28/08

Obama uttered these words just a few short years ago. It was supposedly a charge against politics as usual.

Now, he is following the politics as usual playbook to a tee.

And as he continues on his “anything but my record” tour he had the gall to say Ronald Reagan would be FOR the Buffet Rule:

The Anchoress is weighing in on the Hilary Rosen/Ann Romney kerfluffle and she's pointing out relevant things: There is irony in Rosen sneering that Ann Romney knows nothing about working women, while she, Rosen, supports an administration that pays its female employees less than men. But I digress. Rosen seems to truly not get why people, especially women (both working and at-home) took offense at this...

It seems lobbyist and Dem operative Hilary Rosen had gone on CNN last night and spoken unwisely not once, but twice, first declaring that the Democrat party had never, in any way, ever said that the GOP had declared a “war on women”, and that the GOP had just made that up (a statement so patently and demonstrably dishonest that I couldn’t stop myself from asking Rosen, “no, really, you said that? You really did?”).

Healthcare Death Panels Are Inevitable

Much was made of Governor Sarah Palin's use of the term "government death panels" to lambaste Obamacare. Left-wingers and Democrats everywhere scoffed at the term and accused Palin of demagogy and even lying. But the fact is, government death panels of all sorts are inevitable once government takes over healthcare. In fact, once government takes over healthcare, all sorts of unscientific, non-health related nonsense creeps into your healthcare whether you like it or not and none of these decisions are made with your doctor's advice or consent.

If you were wondering why CNN has such dismal ratings, Anderson Cooper graciously demonstrates beginning at about 1:30 into this video about the Polish Dyngus Day celebration! Not only does AC laugh like a 5th grader over the name of the "pussy willow" shrub, but he goes on to call the Polish Dyngus Day celebration "stupid"...

When the Mel Gibson movie about the Jewish hero Judah the Maccabee, green-lighted by Warner Brothers this past September was suddenly put on hold by the studio last month screen reporters didn't understand Warner's silence as to the reason behind their action. However yesterday that all changed as the entertainment industry website Wrap.com obtained a scathing letter by the movie's screenwriter, Joe Eszterhas (who wrote Flashdance and Basic Instinct) to Gibson accusing the star of making Anti-Semitic statements as well as threatening to kill the mother of his baby girl Oksana Grigorieva. Everything Eszterhas said in the letter has been said

Boulder, Colorado is commonly included on lists of the best places to live in the United States! And why wouldn't it be if you can handle the left-leaning, granola eating culture? Boulder averages over 300 sunny days a year, has one of the top outdoor lifestyles in the country, a median age of 29, is a quick drive to some of the best skiing in the world and is about a 30 minute drive from Denver...

Today, Special Prosecutor Angela Corey put into motion a seemingly baseless, unjust prosecution of an innocent man, or at best a very flimsy and unnecessary legal case, purely in response to pressure from an angry mob. And today, George Zimmerman learned that he has a grave fight ahead of him. This is all because the accused was unselfishly helping the police protect a neighborhood with a history of burglaries. He was, he claims, attacked by Trayvon Martin, a suspicious young man with an arguably thuggish personality, who was once found with a utterly suspicious cache of jewelry and a burglary

Newt Gingrich has proven to be the most self-absorbed, self-indulgent, ethically challenged, venal misanthrope since Henri Philippe Benoni Omer Joseph Pétain or the guy who won the first season of “Survivor”, take your pick. As part of his fantasy “deficit reduction” plan, Barack Obama proposed a number of new taxes. One of them was the so-called “Buffett Rule.”

So how is $4 billion a year going to create “fairness”? How is it going to give everyone a “fair shot”? How does that actually work? Will the yearly $4 billion go into the “fair shot pool”? And once that doesn’t do anything, will Obama be back asking for a 90% tax so everyone can have more “fair shots”? Is the ultimate goal control of and business and everyone’s salaries so the Obamitburo can determine what’s

Rep. Allen West’s assertion that nearly 80 Democratic members of Congress are Communists begs for modification. Perhaps Rep. West should have chosen his terms more carefully. The respectable term is Progressives, and they have their own Congressional Progressive Caucus. No surprise about the usual firebrands/AgitPropers, but the unpleasant image is presumably leavened by the more genteel sort like Rush Holt(NJ) and Carolyn Maloney(NY). 76 “Progressives.” That’s pretty close to 80. And among their pet projects: “Restore the American Dream to the 99%.” That’s the respectable way of saying “From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.”
