On February 10th Andrew Breitbart warned us all that the Obama administration and the media (one and the same) will start the race pandering soon as the election cycle heats up. How right he was:

Paul Krugman seems to spend most of his time these days yowling for higher spending EVERYWHERE. If you listen to Krugman, you’d think every economic problem America and Europe have is a result of not spending enough money. Krugman’s thinking is loosely based on Keynesian economic theories that don’t work now and have never worked at any point in the past. The whole idea that the government can make the economy surge by taking tax money out of the economy and spending it is like trying to fill a swimming pool by taking water out of the deep end and

They had another Myrtle Beach Tea Party last Saturday and I was one of the people giving a short speech. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a much smaller event than usual. Most of the Tea Parties I’ve been to in Myrtle Beach have been in the 300-500 people range. This one was probably more like 150. So, for whatever, the numbers were way down from normal. Not a good omen, but on the other hand, one lightly attended Tea Party does not a trend make.

One topic that has been getting lost in the discussions about our economy is higher education. We hear a few sidebars about it when attached to larger stories, such as the Occupy Wall Street Crowd asking for forgiveness of their student loans, or discussions about the housing bubble dovetailing into a discussion about growing student loan debt in our country. A few people have offered up piecemeal solutions, but nobody has connected all of the dots to propose a sweeping reform change – until now.

Hussein Solomon is a South African professor who is the leading expert on revolutionary Islamist terrorism in his own country and Africa generally. He has just finished a book, Global Jihad: The South African Front. Equally interesting, though, is the background to his work. In the book he explains why he is so intent on this subject. Solomon describes how he was affected by an August 1998 terrorist attack on Planet Hollywood in Cape Town in which two people were killed and others injured or crippled.

Every few weeks leftist supporters of Obamacare will float the "fact" that our founders passed the first "national healthcare law" claiming that this supports Obamacare. The truth is, though, the history they claim supports them doesn’t in any way prove that the founders would approve of mandates in general or Obamacare in particular.

Last Tuesday 4/10 began the first official week of the real Presidential campaign. With Rick Santorum’s announcement that he was suspending his campaign, the battle was finally joined, Republicans ended the circular firing squad of the GOP primary season and turned their attention to President Obama. It wasn’t any Republican effort that spoiled Obama’s week the injuries were self-inflicted. For Mitt Romney’ to win the election he needs to keep the attention on Barack Obama’s record as president. Obama strategy is to keep people from looking at his record, instead he intends to develop “fake issues” to deflect voter attention. According to a

I’m sorry, maybe I am being judgemental. But did not anyone consider that using military symbols, flag semaphore, for a “peace” movement is more than the slightest bit ironic? Or is this an issue of co-option? And by using the symbols of the enemy, they are transformed? Someone, please, tell David Hasselhoff that his shirt looks silly. Yes, it is now time to Hassle the Hof.

This week, Allen West made me proud. He had the intestinal fortitude to call the Congressional Progressive Caucus Communists. If the red shoe fits… The cries from the Democrats can be heard far and wide – calling West irresponsible for calling patriots Communists. Just one small problem – the Congressional Progressive Caucus was founded in 1991 by Bernie Sanders, who is an avowed Socialist and a Congressman from Vermont; Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) and the radical Washington DC based “think tank,” Institute for Policy Studies (IPS).

After weeks of race-baiting with the Trayvon Martin case, the Democrats are at it again and this time they’re dipping their toes into Mommy Wars. Hillary Rosen, Democrat strategist, has let us all know again what she and the Left (especially faux feminists) think of stay-at-home moms. You don’t count. Rosen let out her venom on CNN against Ann Romney...The idea that stay-at-home moms are financially able to do so is a popular one on the Left. Barack Obama is beating the drums for the Buffett rule, which would net about $4 billion per year, but it’s about growth.

"Expanding on his reasons to support the “Buffett Rule,” President Obama said it is “not just about fairness” but economic “growth” as well. (Watch in video above.)

“Now, this is not just about fairness. This is also about growth,” the president said in his weekly address. “It’s about being able to make the investments we need to strengthen our economy and create jobs. And it’s about whether we as a country are willing to pay for those investment."
