Why, oh, why can't those racist, women-hating Republicans ever nominate a black woman to anything? I mean, those kindly leftists are right, those evil Republi… oh, wait. Looks like those lying Democrats are wrong again. We see in Utah where Mia Love has just overwhelmingly taken the GOP nomination to run for Utah's 4th Congressional District.

The extremists of the left (you know, Democrats) have been trying to make a big deal out of the time that Mitt Romney put his dog on top of his car in the dim, dark past. They say this proves that Romney is mean, evil, rotten, a dog-hating scumbag.

That and more from Robert Avrech who notices the lack of interest in an event that can't be used to foist an agenda on the gullible and the emotive:
That’s because their outrage is only a tactic in the liberal war against Conservatives. Liberals are not really upset about Trayvon Martin’s death. They only view Martin as a prop in their kabuki theater...

Moving right along from the sanctified, awe-inspiring ”O” to simply “LOL!” Destroying America is no joke, but if totally justified ridicule is the answer to vaporizing the Obama Fantasy, let the good times roll. Recovering our country might as well be fun too. Icing on the cake would be for Bo to find a nice home once the Obamas are out of the White House and his usefulness as a prop is nil.

President Obama has a proposal on the table to regulate margin requirements in the crude oil market in order to control what he considers to be the scourge of "speculation."
Huh? Isn't speculation a critical part of what makes a market a market? Some people betting that prices will go up while others are betting that prices will go down? Winners and losers? Bulls and bears? Providers of market liquidity?
If crude oil prices were heading lower due to hedgers selling and speculators shorting the market would that still present a problem for the President...

"LANSDOWNE, Va., April 21, 2012— Evangelical Christianity lost one of its most eloquent and influential voices today with the death of Charles W. “Chuck” Colson. But undoubtedly in my view, alive in Christ:
Charles W. Colson, who as a political saboteur for President Richard M. Nixon masterminded some of the dirty tricks that led to the president’s downfall, then emerged from prison to become an important evangelical leader, saying he had been “born again,” died on Saturday. He was 80.
The cause was complications of a brain hemorrhage...

I’ve already confessed to having a weakness for romance novels. My problem with this shameful weakness is that there was only one Georgette Heyer. Everything else is second best, with most books being more secondary than others. Because of my fondness for Heyer’s wit and delicacy, I prefer true romances . . . . I thought that I had found one of those true romances the other day, but I’ve been terribly disappointed, not only because the romance part was ultimately a failure, but because it was a stealth Progressive book.

The United Nations is holding its’ “Conference on Sustainable Development” in Rio de Janero, Brazil, over three separate sessions in June, to which organizers, led by UN Conference Secretary-General of Rio+20, Sha Zukang [who 'really doesn't like Americans'), expect 193 attendees from governments, the private sector, NGOs and other stakeholders, according to the Sarah de Sainte Croix March 20, 2012 article in The Rio Times.
The stated themes of this colossal conference, which is structured around a 204-page report titled, “Working Towards a Balanced and Inclusive Green Economy, A United Nations System-Wide Perspective,” are “the green economy in the context of

I guess now it's cool in Hollywood to make light of diseases, illnesses, and allergies. At least it is for one Internet entertainment reporterette who apparently wishes that she had some sort of disease if that disease made her skinny. Seriously, this is the sort of vapidity that makes the denizens of Hollyweird and their hangers-on appear so reprehensible.

I don’t write about this topic lightly, and as you’ll see by the dates—I’ve allowed several months and multiple opportunities to pass. I have no desire to ‘broad-brush’ an entire church based on the behavior of one or two representatives and NO WAY will I lie about a church, but as it turns out, my ‘now former church’ is a poster child for ‘religious political correctness’ crossing paths with ‘uncompromising reality.’ So as a result, I am now forced to use a much ‘looser definition’ of the word ‘church’… but this in no way diminishes my love for God.

Via The New York Times:
From Wall Street to Hollywood, from doctors and lawyers, the traditional big sources of campaign cash are not delivering for the Obama campaign as they did four years ago. The falloff has left his fund-raising totals running behind where they were at the same point in 2008 — though well ahead of Mr. Romney’s — and has induced growing concern among aides and supporters as they confront the prospect that Republicans and their “super PAC” allies will hold a substantial advantage this fall...

Today, however, in a surprising move from one of the most far-left universities within one of the most far-left city's in the country, the University of Colorado at Boulder has tried to make the campus off-limits to anyone who can't prove that they are part of the community...
