The Left is hitting the speaking circuit hard trying to convince the American people that Obamacare contains no new taxes and that it is in fact not a taxing vehicle at all!
That my good friends is nothing but a bunch of unmitigated crap as you will see below.
But, while the Right needs to pursue the overturning of this monstrosity of a law that will destroy our healthcare system and overburden the nations finances, it cannot allow itself to be made out to be an unfeeling and unsympathetic cadre that dosen't care for the well being of the people...

June was not a good Month for the economy. According to the Institute for Supply Management, manufacturing numbers dropped for the first time in almost three years (since July 2009). The purchasing managers' index dropped from 53.5 in may to 49.7 in June (a consensus of economists had expected it to drop but only to 52), signalling a slow down in the economy.

Second Amendment, Schmecond Amendment. Google wants you to know that it is thinking of your "safety" as it announces that it has banned anything to do with firearms on its Google Shopping service. That's what they've told HamLund Tactical, a Texas-based company that deals in ammunition and firearms accessories, anyway. Further, firearms customers have recently found that Google Shopping won't give them any search results for firearm-related products anymore even though the change over isn't supposed to fully take effect until July 1.

But it seems that someone forgot to teach these social niceties to Leonard Pitts of the Miami Herald because this week Pitts has decided to tell us all that real journalists shouldn't be scoffed at. Why? Because they are selfless, danger-defying, super action heroes, or something. Much has been written and broadcast of late concerning the botched Fast and Furious gun-walking program reinstated by the Obama administration after a “sting” program to track guns crossing the Mexican border was canceled in 2007 by the George W. Bush administration because of the inability to accurately trace those weapons.

And he's apparently going to take this week off... so what Presidential duties is he fulfilling?
President Obama appears to be mostly taking the week off, making a rare sojourn at Camp David through Tuesday before celebrating the Fourth of July and then heading out on the campaign trail.
Obama presumably also has his usual August vacation lined up as well, though it’s not been announced where he will be headed...

There is no more “peace process;” or if you prefer, the possibility of a formal Israel-Palestinian peace that ends the conflict is dormant for a long historical era.

In a world of optimists, pessimists, pragmatists and realists I am definitely a combination the latter two.
That said, after the 19th EU Summit came to an end on Friday I was surprised to see the enthusiastic response from the financial markets for what appeared to be little new provided in the Summit Statement.
Was the markets euphoria new money buying bonds and stocks as an investment or was it merely a relief rally amid short covering? If as I suspect it was massive short covering, how do you suppose I see this whole crisis playing out?
