This week, 13 million Americans won’t go to work, not because they’re on vacation, but because they can’t find jobs. As a candidate, Barack Obama promised to help these Americans find work.An d exactly three years ago today, he pledged ‘To get this economy back on its feet.’ He said about the economy, ‘Give it to me.’ Well, America did give it to him. We gave him the ability to turn things around. And three years later, the results are in:

You know Obama’s reelection campaign is going poorly when his big speeches are not taken seriously enough to fill the seats at community college auditoriums and the press compares him to Spinal Tap.

Now we have to ask, who is using the race card in this presidential campaign again? Is it Republicans? Is it Governor Romney? Nope. You got it, it’s the left as we see again with the efforts of a former operative of Soros-funded Media Matters and some of his Old Media pals who have created a video saying that Mitt Romney is too white to appeal to black voters. So much for that new tone, eh?

It seems to me that the answer to this question, given the fact that Joe Paterno knew and did nothing about ongoing sexual abuse of children by a member of his staff should be cut and dry, but I don't want to skew the results!

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder originally said that some 600,000 Texans lacked a voter I.D. and therefore would be disenfranchised by the Texas voter I.D. law, but Department Of Justice lawyers have suddenly upped that number greatly. Holder's DOJ now claims that 1.4 million otherwise eligible Texas voters don't have proper I.D.s.

In another sign that Bashar al-Assad's despotic regime is nowhere near peacefully concluding the ongoing conflict within Syria, government forces and supporting militias slaughtered over two hundred civilians just yesterday in the farming village of Tremseh, primarily through the use of heavy artillery and tanks.

The more I think about Israel’s security situation at this moment, the better it looks. Obviously, this is counter-intuitive given the media bias, academic distortions, and campaigns for sanctions of various kinds. And, of course, Israel starts from a basis of facing far more security challenges than any other modern state. Still, by Israeli standards the outlook is good.
It’ll take a while to list all of the factors so let’s get started while the inkwell is still full.

Too big to fail” empowers “too big to fail” systems and “too big to fail” economies. Encouraging debt and the eventual assumption of debt passed on and commodified by increasingly larger political and economic entities creates supraentities built on debt and dedicated to economic regulation.
The assumption of state debts by the Federal government was a major step in the federalization of the United States. The growing assumption of micro and macro debts by the United States government and by international bodies allows for greater macro and micro regulation of economic activities…

In another foreign policy/national security failure out of the Obama administration, the new regime in Egypt may very well condone the razing of the pyramids. While Barack Obama spends his days campaigning for the November election let's not forget that there's a whole other part of his job, protecting the nation, that he either ignores or is not very good at!

Obama believes his biggest mistake thus far is his story-telling:
"When I think about what we've done well and what we haven't done well," the president said, "the mistake of my first term - couple of years - was thinking that this job was just about getting the policy right. And that's important. But the nature of this office is also to tell a story to the American people...

The Boston Globe wanted readers to think it had a scoop on its Bain Capitol story on July 12. But in the story claiming Romney is lying about leaving Bain in 1999, the Boston Globe not only used the work of other publications and did so without attribution (we call that plagiarism) but, on top of that, the sources used are simply wrong in the claim that Romney stayed at Bain three years after he said he left. It's all around newspaper fail.

Another odious United Nations treaty may soon come before President Obama and he's reportedly quite eager to sign onto this one because it may result in the end of our Constitutional Second Amendment rights. It may also turn over to the U.N. the control of the manufacture of all weapons and weapons related items, even hunting arms and related merchandise.

A left-wing, uppity, feminist, English journalist, a woman quixotically named Cinnamon Heathclote-Drury , got her world turned upside down over the last few months and her own liberalism is what did her in. One has to feel for her, of course, if only a little bit. But still laughter is far quicker to hit you before sympathy comes.

So how could this have happened? If you voted for Obama you have nobody to blame but yourself. I’ve written previously about the right’s share of the blame in our country’s current leadership, but we at least managed low expectations. Living in DC, I remember the feeling around town. Among conservatives there was a very guarded hope that electing a man with little experience and radicals in his past might somehow work. But among the left? There was a certain electricity in the air. People seemed happier, milling about, some proudly wearing their creepy baubles to proclaim their cult membership

I saw this headline on Drudge this morning: Algorithms now 'writing' articles for newspapers and websites... and I thought: “Wow - Global Warming must really be over if Al Gore is back to working as a hack.” (snip)
The Drudge story is actually about how media companies are outsourcing their news writing to computer programs - comprised of a series of algorithms - to process masses of raw data and spit out a story: (snip)
Wow! This is HUGE! Journalists everywhere writing what “passes for news” could be endangered. (snip)
Worse yet, this could hit even closer to home...

The refugee emergency in Mali. President Obama has ordered as much as $10 million given to the United Nations to help. (See text below)
Maybe that's why Obama's wide open schedule today simply didn't permit him to speak to his most loyal band of supporters, the annual NAACP convention. Or maybe it's really because those supporters are so loyal he can and does take them for granted. Mitt Romney says he got elected governor of a state with only 11% registered Republicans by asking for votes and not taking anyone for granted. He found the time to travel to speak
