Here they come, the Obama campaign with a losing ideology and an awful record is campaigning on the only thing it can, attacking the opposition. Senior political adviser to the campaign David Axelrod is trying to do the same thing to Paul Ryan as the campaign and mainstream media did to Sarah Palin. In this case they are calling him Sarah Palin. Axelrod let loose on CBS this morning.

Mitt Romney is releasing a new campaign commercial this morning, which continues to go after Obama for gutting work requirements for welfare. Its interesting that a president who is supposedly a big believer in bi-partisanship would try and destroy a piece of legislation that was negotiated by both parties and signed by the president who he picked to nominate him for a second term.

George Will is expounding on why Romney chose Ryan: Romney embraced Ryan after the sociopathic — indifferent to the truth — ad for Barack Obama that is meretricious about every important particular of the death from cancer of the wife of steelworkerJoe Soptic. Obama’s desperate flailing about to justify four more years has sunk into such unhinged smarminess that Romney may have concluded: There is nothing Obama won’t say about me, because he has nothing to say for himself, so I will chose a running mate whose seriousness about large problems and ideas underscores what the president has become —

When the House voted to hold Eric Holder in contempt over his refusal to turn over Fast and Furious related documents, many wondered why they bothered to pass criminal and civil contempt resolutions. As expected, the Justice department refused to file charges against their boss, Attorney General Holder, so tomorrow House Oversight and Government Reform Chairman Darrell Issa will sue AG Holder in civil court for refusing to provide documents related to the “Fast and Furious” gun-smuggling operation.

Some pundits say Obama has so successfully transformed America into a “gimme society” that the food stamp president will win reelection in a landslide. Other political wizards say the bloom is off the rose. A majority of Americans realize that Obama is a far left, radical, socialist/progressive, anti-American, lawless dictator. His reign of terror will end come November. Arguments are strong supporting both scenarios. Folks, candidly, I do not know which political egghead’s election predictions are correct. Life has taught me never to invest total trust in my knowledge or in that of any man. So yes, Obama appears to be doing

What’s funny, though, is that each person who worries about some deficit in the Ryan pick comes back with an offering to show some demographic that nobody thought about, but that Ryan can bring into the Republican fold. Right now, Republicans remind me of the famous Monty Python Life of Brian skit, with a leader expressing horror about Roman rule, and the followers reminding him that it’s not all bad.

The majority of New Yorker's and New York Jews in particular are more than likely going to vote Democrat in the 2012 presidential election which means Barack Obama. This article attempts to debunk some myths about what each of the political party's stands for and provides a list of some members of the left who have particularly dark pasts. There is also a story written by a New York Jew who was brought up Democrat and who is now a tried and true Republican!

In almost 40 years of studying these issues, I’ve never seen a better case study of mass media bias and knee-jerk narrowness than an aspect of the current flap about what presidential candidate Mitt Romney said during his trip to Israel. I’m going to focus on a single point because it brings this problem into sharp focus. If you truly understand what you are about to read, I don’t see how you can accord most of the mass media any credibility when it comes to Israel ever again. Briefly, Romney mentioned the gap between the Israeli and Palestinian economies — ironically,

So now the battle is joined. Saturday morning Mitt Romney made what is being described as a bold choice for Vice President, Congressman Paul Ryan of Wisconsin. “Paul and I are beginning on a journey that will take us to every corner of America,” Romney told thousands of supporters gathered on a muggy morning here, shortly before introducing Ryan and embracing him. “We are offering a positive governing agenda that will lead to economic growth, to widespread and shared prosperity, and that will improve the lives of our fellow citizens. Our plan to strengthen the middle class will get America

Rachel Maddow of MSNBC is sure that Mitt Romney's recent campaign ad is "racist." How does she know? Well, she can't point to anything substantive that proves it, so she has to feel that it's racist and since she feels it, it must be so. The ad under Maddow's cross-eyed microscope, titled "Right Choice," speaks to Obama's quiet and quasi illegal gutting of the welfare reform law that was signed into effect by Bill Clinton back in 1996.

For two straight days, now, neither ABC, CBS, nor NBC have bothered to mention the roiling controversy over the lie-filled ad that Obama's Super PAC put out intimating that Mitt Romney killed a steel worker's wife. The ad is being called the nastiest, most misleading ad of this election cycle by newspapers, talk radio and even the cable news stations -- CNN and MSNBC both, yet -- but thus far the big three are ignoring the whole story.

For the Minneapolis Post, columnist John Reinan has a very interesting piece noting that many once powerful city newspapers are being forced by industry loses to abandon their palatial, decades old headquarters buildings. Many of these buildings are grand, often classically built, downtown mainstays that once told a city that the newspaper contained within was a vital part of a city's life, but newspapers just can't afford to run these huge places anymore. This, Reinan feels, is another symptom of an industry shrinking away to nothing.

the job of journalists is to provide context that politicians leave out. And when it comes to Medicare reform, the press does a pretty shoddy job of providing essential context that would allow an adult conversation about how the country can avert a fiscal crisis. See, for example, the New York Times report on Romney’s vice presidential announcement. Reporters Jim Rutenberg and Jeff Zeleny describe Ryan as “an advocate of reshaping the Medicare program of health insurance for retirees.”

No, Ryan is not in favor of reshaping Medicare “for retirees”–he wants to reshape it for Americans who are 55 years old

The more I read of Paul Ryan, the more I'm impressed by the man. Take this from his website: Twice in the past the U.S. Supreme Court—charged with being the guardian of rights—has failed so drastically in making this crucial determination that it “disqualified” a whole category of human beings, with profoundly tragic results. The first time was in the 1857 case, Dred Scott v. Sandford. The Court held, absurdly, that Africans and their American descendants, whether slave or free, could not be citizens with a right to go to court to enforce contracts or rights or for any other reason.

Now that Paul Ryan is the presumptive GOP nominee for Vice President, it seems appropriate to repost this video (which I originally posted in February 2010). It shows Ryan cleaning Obama’s clock on health reform during the phony Health Reform Summit the White House staged just before ramming ObamaCare down our throats.
