This is becoming a pattern. It’s happened many, many times. I find it rather interesting that the DNC doesn’t care that much about the fiscal soundness of the towns Obama visits and are unwilling to spread their own wealth around

Tough words coming from the last man to set foot on the moon: “I don’t think he fully understands what traditional America is all about, because he didn’t literally grow up here,” the Apollo 17 commander told Fox News’s Neil Cavuto. “I don’t think that I could convince him why this is important. I don’t know that he wants America to be first. I don’t know that he doesn’t want us to play on a more level playing field. I don’t know that he doesn’t care if Russia or China gets to the Moon and we’re dragging tailbone.”

Who knows exactly what our crazy old uncle has up his sleeve? The only thing I know for sure is it’s not his sleeve. As far as I’ve been able to determine this is Val Jar’s idea, although it looks like she’s working in concert with the rest of the handlers.(snip)it sounds like a nefarious update on the old Dirty Tricks strategy. You know; create a rumble of some sort – I’m hesitant to say what sort, butt if you read the comments on Ulsterman’s WHI report you’ll get the gist of it – then blame it on...

I’ve really been shocked with the way the conservative media has been misrepresenting a campaign tweet photo that shows Obama and some supporters trying to spell “Ohio” with their arms. All the conservative media keeps saying they’re spelling O-I-H-O. As if! In fact, if you look at the photo, it’s even more pathetic than that:

Remember how the Democrats keep looking for ways to raise taxes on the most successful Americans? And how the president has threatened top veto any tax legislation that does not raise taxes on the Job creators? Today the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office released its semi-annual report on the economy and as the saying goes, "it aint pretty." According to the CBO the U.S. economy will slide into recession in 2013 if the combination of Taxmageddon and the automatic spending cuts — known as a sequestration are allowed to happen.

Remember how the far left in America has said since the rise of the Tea Party that the right is awash in "violent rhetoric"? Does the left, though, think that it might be a tad "violent" to propose killing the Boy Scouts like one would kill a rabid dog? Because that is what a columnist for The Atlantic has proposed. James Hamblin, the magazine's health editor, proclaimed his desire to kill Boy Scouts based on his distaste for their recently re-affirmed policy of refusing to admit openly gay members. Hamblin obviously feels totally justified in using violent, even hateful rhetoric

Usually I don't write much about wholly meaningless people, but on Saturday, August 18, New York Times screedist Maureen Dowd turned in a particularly unhinged performance that just screams to be discussed. It might also scream that MoDowd's Ryanitis is at such an advanced case of virulence that she might just need professional help to get over it. MoDowd begins her piece discussing the prescient, important political theories of that highly consequential "metal rap guitarist," Tom Morello. You may know -- or you may not care -- that Mr. Morello is part of the band Rage Against The Machine, a

A short history of democracy in Egypt. In February 2011 the Mubarak regime fell. There was going to be a parliament elected in Egypt. The parliament was elected. Its election was invalidated. Today there is no parliament in Egypt. The Muslim Brotherhood said it would want to run one-third of the candidates for seats. Then they ran one-half. Then they ran all. Then they said they would not run a president. Then they did and elected a president. And they and the Salafists elected 70 percent of the parliament. But now there is no parliament.

President Vaclav Klaus delivered the keynote address this year to the World Federation of Scientists:

"The real problem is not climate or global warming, but the Global Warming Doctrine and its consequences. They may eventually bring us close to a real planetary emergency. Absolutely unnecessarily, without any connection with global temperature.

This doctrine, as a set of beliefs, is an ideology, if not a religion. It lives independently on the science of climatology."

As someone who writes for a living, I appreciate good writing. I also think there are a lot of extremely talented writers in the blogosphere who don’t get their due. So, with that in mind, I wanted to put together an unranked list of the best writers in the blogosphere. Note that “best writers” doesn’t necessarily mean best blogger. In fact, some of my favorite bloggers are not on this list because skill at cobbling together the words is just one facet of putting out great material. Speed, research, stats, volume, unique knowledge, judgment, experience, and perspective also matter.

Having been in the advertising industry for the better part of thirty years I happen to be a huge fan of advertising as a tool for increasing business. I am not however a big fan of government spending money on advertising to promote their political agenda. But that is exactly what the Obama administration did and judging by the comments of the people responsible for the expenditure, they had no idea of the basics of ad buying.

Among the reasons our seniors are suspicious of Obamacare is the "medical device tax" which is nothing more than a de facto tax on senior citizens. This taxes the manufacturers of medical devices and "replacement" parts mostly used by Seniors including Pacemakers, Hip joint replacements, Powered wheelchairs, Hearing aids, and Prosthetic heart valve rotators just to name a few. While it is the manufacturers paying the tax (as opposed to the end consumer) it is certain those higher costs will be passed on to consumers.
