Well, it’s certainly better off not having a president who sexually harasses women, was credibly accused of rape, impeached for lying to a federal grand jury (along with suborning testimony), and had stuck a cigar in the hoo-ha of a girl young enough to be his daughter. Instead, we have a president who, um, really doesn’t care. It might appear odd, but Huffington Post seems to be scolding the Democrats for having “caved in” to pro-religion and pro-Israel forces in the Democrat Party for succeeding in having God and Jerusalem put back into the Democrat Party platform after they were removed earlier today.

Earlier in the day on Wednesday, the Democrat Party suffered two embarrassments over its platform by the elimination both God and the capital of Israel from the document. Worse, when a move was made to reinsert them into the guiding positions of the party, the floor erupted in loud boos.

Yesterday, the DNC had to pretend it had a 2/3 vote to assert that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel and for the inclusion of the phrase, “God-given gifts” into their national platform, because three attempts to vote couldn’t bring it. Whether it was the “God” language or the “Jerusalem” language they resisted more is hard to say. But the nays seem to have it it.
And then, of course, the mob boo’ed, jeered and hissed.
Later, Bill Clinton came out and did what Bill Clinton does better than almost anyone...

To drive home a fresh, urgent message of change, Barack Obama's Democratic National Convention reached back into the last century to pluck Bill Clinton for helper. Apparently, Madeline Albright was unavailable. It's a measure of how desperate the Chicagoan has become, with fundraising, polls and media manipulation slipping, that for campaign image help the ex-state senator and his Windy City cronies turn for help to Monica Lewinsky's playmate. And wasn't this the guy impeached for lying?

Another serious unforced error by the folks running the Dhttp://news.investors.com/politics-andrew-malcolm/090612-624732-democrat-party-platform-fight-over-god-and-jerusalem.htmemocratic National Convention, presumably with the goal of reelecting this Barack Obama fellow. The first error occurred Tuesday when the Platform Committee announced its final document and thousands of Democrat delegates passed it. Someone noticed fairly quickly that -- hey, wait a minute -- in contrast to previous Democrat platforms (and Republican ones, as well), the 2012 version had deleted every single reference to God.

In the opinion of the chair after three votes where they clearly did not have a 2/3's majority or any other majority of voice vote. The Democrats reinstated God and Jerusalem to their party platform by a ruse and a violation of their own rules and procedural voting.

The language is back an so is God, but Convention leaders had to cheat to do it.
Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa of Los Angeles, the head of the Democratic National Convention, got up and asked for a two-thirds vote on the amendments to the platform. He took a voice vote, with people stating aloud “aye” and “nay.”
