The press tried skewer Mitt Romney for his statements about the President's handling of the attacks on our Egyptian and Libyan embassies:
“I also believe the Administration was wrong to stand by a statement sympathizing with those who had breached our embassy in Egypt instead of condemning their actions. It's never too early for the United States Government to condemn attacks on Americans, and to defend our values. The White House distanced itself last night from the statement, saying it wasn't ‘cleared by Washington.’ That reflects the mixed signals they’re sending to the world.

Here on the 11th Anniversary of the attacks that took some 3,000 American lives on September 11th, 2001, a pair of Maryland State Democrats are throwing fundraisers. If that isn’t bad enough, one of them even said it is “patriotic” to hold a fundraiser on the anniversary of the day we were so brutally attacked.

On one hand, you have to wonder if this is what we’ve fought in Afghanistan all these years to see: blocking freedom of speech. On the other hand, can you blame the government of Afghanistan? They must know that theirs is the only religion that will riot, burn, destroy, and kill over a simple video

Barack Obama has pursued his foreign policy with the habitual incompetence that he’s shown in the domestic arena, but he’s been a little luckier there. The military came to him and said, “We know where Osama is. Are we allowed to kill him?” He said “yes.” Iraq didn’t implode when we pulled out despite his incredibly foolish decision to set a timeline.

We all recall how Michael Moore mercilessly savaged George Bush because, when the first reports about the 9/11 terrorist attacks began, Bush was reading a story book to small children, and chose not to run screaming out of the room. Fast-forward eleven years and we have a president who boasts that he’s better than everybody at doing anything. Apparently he’s now decided to one-up Bush’s insouciance in the face of imminent disaster.

Aside from the 11th anniversary of 9/11, there was no bigger story on Sept. 11, 2012 than the attack made upon the U.S. embassy in Cairo, Egypt. But for half the day on Tuesday, MSNBC didn't mention the incident. A careful review of MSNBC's programming on Tuesday proved that up until 6PM eastern, MSNBC had still not bothered to report the storming of the U.S. embassy.

The US has come under attack in Egypt and Libya with the US Ambassador to Libya and three others assassinated. While on the campaign trail what will Barack Obama do? Much of the big news on the anniversary of 9-11 came from the Middle East. There was the attack on the US Embassies in Egypt and Libya and the reports of Obama's refusal to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu when he comes to the United States at the end of September.
