A dark day indeed for the United States of America… the American electorate chose to follow the European Union down the fiscal crapper…and conservatives are either scrambling to figure our what is wrong, pointing fingers OR they’ve lapsed into an apathetic coma-esque funk.
Whatever the case— we need to snap out of it and head directly to a mirror.
If you haven’t noticed, we’re funding our own demise…and we’re supposed to be the smart ones.

I have some very exciting news: I have found my long-lost identical twin. It’s amazing, really. Like me, my twin grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area during the 60s and 70s. Like me, my twin went to UC Berkeley and found Leftist antics revolting. Like me, my twin now does conservative commentary, with lots of self-deprecating parentheticals peppering observations about the illogic, hypocrisy, and mental sterility of the Leftist intellectual universe. And like me, my twin is short (or at least, claims to be short). Okay, I’ll admit that there are a few differences.

Didn’t take long for the defenders of the freebie culture to race in defense of one Susan Rice:
CHRIS MATTHEWS: “it does seem that even if a person makes a mistake… they were given the wrong brief, and they offered up the brief….why is there this HOSTILITY to this young public servant who isn’t a politician even, she serves in the foreign affairs capacity….why are they treating her like she’s somebody to punch?”

In yet another facile example of the Old Media equating President Obama´s presidency to the greatness of Abraham Lincoln´s, NBC News correspondent Kevin Tibbles used the occasion of the opening of the new Lincoln movie helmed by Director Steven Spielberg to do just that.

In a classic example of the media accepting the terrorist´s ideas that Israel is the bad actor in the Middle East, The New York Times had an interesting way to describe the more than 150 rockets that Palestinians have launched on Israeli civilians over the last week or so. The Times wrote that those attacks were "called rocket attacks" by Israel as if the Israeli´s were simply making unsubstantiated claims about the attacks.

In a sort of schizoid report on MSNBC, The New York Times both admits that the now second place cabler is liberal, yet on the other hand claims that it the first such example in television history. For The Times, Brian Stetler makes the outrageous claim that there´s never been such a liberal "megaphone" on TV before.

When it comes to essentials, it’s not actually all that much different from or better than what passes for liberalism.
In recent decades, the Republican Party’s version of conservatism has emphasized three major themes...

For instance, why did it take until the 1960´s for the final Civil Rights law to be passed? Because it took that long for the Dems to throw in the towel on segregation. They blocked anti-lynching laws in the 1920´s and 1930´s, they threw blacks off the land in the New Deal, but by the 1950s, the Republicans were able to enforce Brown v. Board of Education (Little Rock) and pass two civil rights laws.

...These post-Christian Americans do not believe in Jesus. But they do believe in Santa Claus. However, the Santa Claus of their imagination doesn’t simply provide a toy or two for morally deserving kids. No, the socialist Santa Claus they believe in doesn’t make anything. He redistributes. Before he comes down the chimney to leave stuff under your holiday tree, he’s gone down Donald Trump’s chimney and filled his bag with Trump’s stuff…

You’ll remember that President Barack Obama was the only candidate with a detailed plan to deal with the impending fiscal unpleasantness. And, as the president explained this week during his first press conference since winning re-election, “more voters agreed” with him, so naturally, it’s time to give the people what they want.

The second-term curse goes like this: A president (e.g., Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, etc.) wins re-election, but then his presidency implodes over the next four years — mired in scandals or disasters such as Watergate, Iran-Contra, Monica Lewinsky, the Iraqi insurgency and Hurricane Katrina.

Over 150 terrorist rockets landed in Israeli Neighborhoods between Saturday and Wednesday when Operation Pillar of Defense began. Since the defensive action was initiated by the IDF approximately 24 hours ago another 200 rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip into Israel.
One of those rockets hit a building in launched Kiryat Malachi, a community of 20,000 Israelis including many recent immigrants from the former Soviet Union and Ethiopia. The rocket killed three people and wounded others including children. While it has not been confirmed yet, I have been informed by buddy in Israel that there has been a fourth death-a

If you read this description of what Saul Alinsky was trying to do and then compare it with Barack Obama´s past and current agenda, they frighteningly seem to be one in the same. Compounding the problem is having a President who is dealing with a complicit media and a largely ignorant or blind populace that simply buys anything he is selling!

A friend of mine has a family member who has been called up for duty in Israel. I know that, all over Israel, young men and young women are being mobilized. Some sadly, may not come home, although I wish all of them would, just as I wish every one of our troops in Afghanistan could return home. As always when I think about war, I think, not about those who die, but about the many who live. My expectation that people will return home is shaped by my parents’ experiences.

We work hard, or we strive to find work while counted amongst 86 million “invisible” unemployed, or we stress as one of the Bureau of Labor Statistics 14.6% unemployed, and when rare tranches of time allow, during our otherwise consumed days, we sporadically tune into the mainstream media. The Gallup organization recently informed us that 60% of us do not trust the news media. And yet, . . . it still influences our determinations as it wishes.
