Now that the Chicago Teachers Union´s big strike is over they have time for other activities. Like pushing the communist idea of "social justice." And so, the CTU is helping host a "Teaching for Social Justice" event this month. So, some of the highest paid teachers in the country are all about "the struggle," eh? The biggest union news this month is the pending closing of the Hostess Brand snack cake corporation, a company that has been an American mainstay for decades with such products Wonder Bread and Hostess Twinkies. As with the Hostess case, unions repeatedly prove that they´d rather destroy a business with absurd demands and strikes than work with management to keep the company alive in these tough economic times.

Part of Yesterday´s IDF Blogger´s briefing sounded like this:
Q: Where did the rocket hit, if not Tel Aviv?
A: The rocket didn´t land in Tel Aviv.
Q: Where?
A: The launch didn´t reach its destined area. I can´t disclose anything further.
In fact all throughout yesterday, bloggers, tweeters, and Facebook friends of Israel were reminded by our IDF contacts not to say exactly where rockets have landed or even when/where alert sirens have blared. They way this has been handled by bloggers such as myself who are trying to keep people informed of what is going on in Operation Pillar

At one time, Right Wing News used to have one of the best comment sections on the right side of the blogosphere. However, when the amount of the content on the page dramatically ramped up, the number of comments per thread couldn’t keep up. It took time, but eventually we started to build the numbers back up.

Lt. Col. Avital Leibovich held a phone briefing with bloggers to provide a summary of day two of Operation Pillar of Defense. Below is a transcript of the call:
"We started the operation yesterday with two goals – one, to defend Israeli civilians, and the second, to cripple the abilities of terrorists in order to minimize their rocket fire. Right now, we´ve targeted over 220 targets [updated: over 300), many of them underground launching pads, including Fajr-5 rocket depots – an Iranian-made and -manufactured missile. The Fajr-5 has a range that´s over 50 km and can reach the Tel-Aviv area.

A dark day indeed for the United States of America… the American electorate chose to follow the European Union down the fiscal crapper…and conservatives are either scrambling to figure our what is wrong, pointing fingers OR they’ve lapsed into an apathetic coma-esque funk.
Whatever the case— we need to snap out of it and head directly to a mirror.
If you haven’t noticed, we’re funding our own demise…and we’re supposed to be the smart ones.

I have some very exciting news: I have found my long-lost identical twin. It’s amazing, really. Like me, my twin grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area during the 60s and 70s. Like me, my twin went to UC Berkeley and found Leftist antics revolting. Like me, my twin now does conservative commentary, with lots of self-deprecating parentheticals peppering observations about the illogic, hypocrisy, and mental sterility of the Leftist intellectual universe. In a classic example of the media accepting the terrorist´s ideas that Israel is the bad actor in the Middle East, The New York Times had an interesting way to describe the more than 150 rockets that Palestinians have launched on Israeli civilians over the last week or so. The Times wrote that those attacks were "called rocket attacks" by Israel as if the Israeli´s were simply making unsubstantiated claims about the attacks.
