No More Mr. Nice Speaker! Its time for the Congressional Republicans to fight back. Yesterday´s counter-offer made by House leadership and the almost immediate rejection by President Obama shows the GOP willing to compromise and the President glued to his position.
The Bohener offer called for $800 billion in new revenue via tax-code reform along with spending cuts and entitlement reforms that would trim a little over $2 trillion dollars off the deficit. A couple of weeks ago, I said to my sister, “Kate’s pregnant,” referring to the Duchess of Cambridge.
“How do you know?” she asked.
“Because,” I told her, “the British press was filled with daily stories about her, showing her going her and there, and always talking about her perfect style. Suddenly, though, she’s vanished. She’s not showing up anywhere. so I’m betting that she’s pregnant and suffering from morning sickness.”

"Insulting." That is what conservative columnist Charles Krauthammer termed Obama´s "plan" to prevent the federal government from falling over the fiscal cliff. But to the Old Media establishment, Obama´s insulting plan lacking in specifics was a brilliant "strategic move" that will force Republicans to "offer a counter proposal," despite the fact that, going back to Paul Ryan´s Road Map, the GOP is the only side offering many specifics in this debate thus far.

Here’s the reality of the situation.
– The economy is in bad shape and it’s conceivable that going over the fiscal cliff could push it into recession, although nobody really knows one way or the other.
– Going over the fiscal cliff is probably the best hope for deficit reduction we’ll have in the next four years.

Why do some atheists embarrass themselves year after year trying to eradicate Christmas from American culture? Why do they make themselves societal hemorrhoids during this hallowed season? Is it because they are crusaders for equality, secularism’s saviors and humanism’s heroes? Obama owns the fiscal cliff. These are HIS laws. He signed them. The GOP needs to scream that loudly every single day.
Barack Obama is cynical, but could he really be so cynical as to sign into law something he knew would have to be reversed while blaming the GOP?
I am also cynical and I believe that that scenario is very possible. Now Obama is demanding that the GOP save America from Obama.
