Dear unbeliever,
I hope another letter so soon doesn´t offend you but some other thoughts occurred to me after I finished the letter last week. You remember that I asked, Where are the atheist soup kitchens, universities, or hospitals? I said that atheists don´t have a unifying principle that propels them to such good works.
I hope I was clear that I appreciate the good works that you do. But...

OBAMA: What we said was give us $1.2 trillion in additional revenues, which could be accomplished without hiking tax rates. It could simply be accomplished by eliminating loopholes, eliminating some deductions and engaging in a tax reform process that could lower rates generally while broadening the base.

During the Bush years, there were times when he was the lone beacon of conservative light in an ocean of squishy Republican darkness — and he caught Hell for it. His staffers used to ask for any help or support he could get on social media or the blogs when he was getting beaten up because even though he was the one guy representing the grassroots conservative position, he was under constant attack by his own side behind closed doors.

We are still borrowing more than $1 trillion a year. Barack Obama has added more than $5 trillion to the national debt in just his first term alone. Such massive borrowing is unsustainable. Someone somehow at some time has to pay it back.

This should be filed under stupid government tricks.
Rosanne and Joe Cavaliere are still trying to clean up from the hurricane. As you can see in the picture above, they have branches through their roof, busted front windows. By law they cannot remove the tree because it is owned by New York City, but that didn´t stop them from receiving a ticket from the city for failing to clean up the tree. Apparently the mommy/Mayor is upset they didn´t clean up their rooms-even though it was the Mayor´s mess.

Does anyone really think that the President´s plan all along has been anything but flying off of the fiscal cliff in order to earn political points by attempting to pin it all on the Republican´s supposed intransigence towards reaching a negotiated agreement? I grew up deathly afraid of guns. This wasn’t like my fear of snakes and spiders, which seems to be pretty atavistic. Instead, this was a learned fear: Guns kill people. Guns also kill innocent animals that should, instead, die nice clean deaths in factory farms, before being sliced up and packaged in cellophane. I knew the truth: guns are bad, very, very bad. Then I went to England and learned that guns aren’t the only bad things.
