I´ve been reading snippets of the Catechism each day as part of the Catholic Church´s Year of Faith. Yesterday, I came across the following: The reality of sin 386 Sin is present in human history; any attempt to ignore it or to give this dark reality other names would be futile. To try to understand what sin is, one must first recognize the profound relation of man to God, for only in this relationship is the evil of sin unmasked in its true identity as humanity´s rejection of God and...

Charlie Crist is one of the worst examples of a whining "moderate" Republican that got all mad because after his last campaign imploded due to his own idiotic embrace of President Obama, Republicans pushed him off at arms length. Well, now his traitorous trajectory is complete. Tonight he Tweeted that he is now officially a Democrat.

When the South Korean Pop song Gangnam Style first became the thing here in the only country in the world that counts, I was bemused by the tune and its frenetic horse-galloping dance moves. I thought it was funny and fun. But now I find out that the Korean artist, Psy, has told American to fuck off (excuse HIS language) now he is persona non gratta. I´ve gone back and eliminated all Psy posts I´ve made before and will never support this creep´s work again.

Fascinating eye-witness account of a never before published Pearl Harbor story: On Dec. 7, 1941, when Japanese planes attacked Pearl Harbor, I was working as a reporter for the Honolulu Star-Bulletin. After a week of war, I wrote a story directed at Hawaii´s women; I thought it would be useful for them to know what I had seen. It might help prepare them for what lay ahead. But my editors thought the graphic content would be too upsetting for readers and decided not to run my article. It appears here for the first time...

In this video, you´ll see two famous members of the Old Media, Peter Jennings and Mike Wallace, admit that if they were covering a story and were in a position to save the lives of American soldiers, they would not help the soldiers but would instead continue to "cover" the story. They both admitted that they feel they are journalists before they are Americans and that they have a duty first and only to "journalism." After that, Marine Colonel George M. Connell expressed his disgust with this concept. He said he had "utter contempt" for these journalists who would turn

The left consistently takes the moral high ground, and the right is left grasping at air. In order to prevent this happening, conservatives need to be secure in the values they stand for, but they also need to understand the twisted psychology behind the left’s celebration of victimhood.

Behold the complete & total destruction suffered and draw a little inspiration from what we Americans were able to do over the next four years. The enemy was clear in those days and made no attempt to mask its intentions. America’s most deadly enemy is now from within, in our midst, in the White House, in our government, boring ever-more deeply into our free lives, all the while doing everything it can to confuse and obscure its intentions. Perhaps the first line of attack and ultimately the last one is sustained exposure of those who would enslave us while pretending

There is a lot of talk of the upcoming fiscal cliff that is looming if a budget deal is not reached by the end of the year between President Obama and Republicans in Congress. If this comes to pass some disastrous consequences will hit us:

So I say that it’s high time we start feeling the consequences of our actions. Abolishing the debt ceiling and giving the president a blank check to push us further into debt indefinitely is the equivalent to an alcoholic at the bar telling his bartender that the only way to get his tab paid up is

No budget, no debt reduction, no way to avoid the “fiscal cliff” that Congress created by not doing their job the last time around. Butt we have reached concurrence in both houses of Congress to remove the offensive word “lunatic” from federal law. Fortunately, they did NOT ban the use of the term “idiot” thereby leaving us with a useful and descriptive term to describe our legislators and their legislative efforts.(snip)So it is in their honor that I dedicate this weeks sing-along(snip)Brain Damage: Pink Floyd(snip)The lunatic is on the grass...

Judges hate when litigants hide things from them, especially bankruptcy judges. Judge Robert E. Gerber is a United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Southern District of New York. Gerber oversaw the GM managed bankruptcy (bailout) and is now hearing a lawsuit which may overturn a big part of the the deal. As you may remember, the bailout involved the liquidation of the "old" GM and the creation of a new one. Now a lawsuit filed by a trust representing “old” GM’s unsecured creditors, is attacking a “lockup agreement” which sent hundreds of millions of dollars to a group of hedge
