So now, with less than two weeks to go till the Big Day, it´s time to say it.
All together now: "Merry Christmas!"
Say Merry Christmas to everyone you meet.
Say it to everyone and anyone from now through Christmas Day.
Say it and say it and say it again.
Don´t hesitate. Don´t worry. Don´t even

The State Bar of California, which I have to pay into in order to practice law in the State of California, long-ago abandoned its core responsibility of ensuring that people who hold themselves out as lawyers to California citizens are at least minimally qualified. As with all these mandatory organizations, it’s turned into a political advocacy group and, again in sync with all these mandatory organizations, it advocates Left.

I wrote a few days ago about the fact that the State of California Department of Education has gone after the Kentfield School District in Marin County, because the District’s food program relies on PTA volunteers, rather than on paid union members. Our local paper has an update on the story say that, for the time being, the School Board has decided to continue with business as usual, rather than acceding to the State’s demands. What I love about the most recent report is a single sentence. Look upon it and marvel:

"If union adversaries can pass a right-to-work law in the home of the once-powerful United Auto Workers, they can pretty much do it anywhere."
I say GOOD.
For centuries, Unionism once had a prominent place in Western commerce for a good reason: strength in numbers to improve working conditions (safety, benefits, etc.). During the previous century, many of those improvements were enshrined into law at the federal and state level (osha, work comp, wage & hour, eeoc, etc).
Nowadays, hordes of personal injury attorneys get rich suing

William Kristol, Editor of the Weekly Standard, seems to have decided that retreat is the way forward for the Republican Party. In a new editorial that approaches a meltdown, the Fox commentator and consummate Washington insider essentially advised the GOP to just throw in the towel on these fiscal cliff talks and more or less accept Obama´s terms.

Egypt, Mohammed Morsi, and the Muslim Brotherhood are holding, on December 15, 2012, a referendum on a new constitution.
You know, the constitution that President Barack Hussein “vote buyer” Obama refuses to criticize.
You know, the constitution written by a committee of 100 selected by the now disbanded Egyptian parliament that, at the time of the creation of the Constituent Assembly, was dominated by Islamists. Fifteen committee members quit the Assembly in protest. Of the 85 members remaining, none were Christians, and only four were women. So much for “diversity,” one of the Democrats/liberals/progressives’ (DLPs) most precious ideals.

Not so many moons ago, President Obama urged us all to “make sure that we are talking with each other in a way that heals, not a way that wounds.” He Who Heals advocated “a more civil and honest public discourse” in the wake of the January 2011 Tucson massacre. As usual, though, the White House has granted Big Labor bullies a permanent waiver from the lofty edicts it issues to everyone else.

It’s the only 12-12-12 we will ever have, and this is the best I’ve got.(snip) Jen Penz(snip)said 260 teachers called in sick there, forcing schools to close in the district near Detroit. "We´re not abandoning our students. We´re here to protect their future," Penz said. "We´re setting a good example for them.”(snip) Really?
Since many of you have indicated your weariness of my pictures of BO and MO I will try to comply (although, that is my job: MOTUS MIRROR – hello!). How about (snip)I only do butt shots for awhile?

Mark Shea is shooting warning shots over the bow:
There is, to be sure, a very dangerous presumption of Universalism among a lot of Catholics. The average Catholic tends to talk as though it’s automatic heaven for everybody except maybe Hitler or a pedophile priest somewhere. Partly that springs from a psychological habit of not presuming to judge others. Partly it springs from...

There was a time when Warmists said “weather is not climate! Yeaaaarrrrrrg!” Now, because fewer and fewer are buying into what they push (which they themselves refuse to act on, as witnessed by the yearly working vacations in exotic locations which produced tens of millions of tons of CO2), they have now moved on to “extreme weather” (some, like Al Gore, have even moved on to “dirty weather”) in order to blame every weather event, including snow and cold, on someone else living a modern life
