A combination of people thinking the world will end, the last day before Christmas vacation, and the one-week anniversary of the tragic shooting at Newtown, CT has resulted in a tremendous amount of shooting threats at schools across the United States.
A simple search on twitter, Google, or Facebook reveals a shocking number of threats. Here is just a small sample.

In light of the recent massacre in Newtown, Connecticut, we learn today that, “The Newtown school gunman’s mother was so angry at education chiefs for failing her son, she thought ‘screw them’ and refused to stop dealing with them anymore, a relative has claimed. Nancy Lanza pleaded for better services for her disturbed son Adam, but was apparently rebuffed so many times, she took it upon herself to home school him.”

It is even odder that Secretary Clinton, who once said “I take responsibility. . . . I take this very personally,” also gets off without criticism. It’s not that absolving her or her top deputies is necessarily wrong, but where it leads is bound to affect morale in the department. Look at these events from the perspective of career officials at the office director or deputy assistant secretary level, and what just happened? People like you were just ruined, while people up the chain got off scot free. Being on the Seventh Floor appears to grant immunity.

On the December 18 broadcast of his MSNBC show, Hardball, Chris Matthews gave us a perfect example of the outright ignorance about how firearms work that the left media exhibits on a daily basis. Matthews thought he had a brilliant point when he said we should “outlaw semi-automatic weapons.”

In the wake of the recent murders at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut, I know many of my readers have been waiting for my thoughts pursuant to same. So here they are.
The reality is that evil exists, evil people exist, and evil people do evil things. We punish the evil people who commit evil deeds. Inanimate objects are, by their very essence, incapable of committing any act by themselves.
The amount of pain those affected by the evil acts of evil people suffered is unimaginable. The pain is at times inconsolable. We don’t understand what motivates evil people to commit

Nicholas Kristoff is very excited about the opportunity the Newtown shootings present to advance a gun control agenda. (By the way, have you noticed that the media narrative is that the Progressives are not politicizing a tragedy when they use it to advocate everything from gun control to higher taxes, but that the Republicans are disgustingly politicizing a tragedy when they argue it should not be used as an excuse to take mad public policy leaps. Just sayin’….)

In a classic example of substituting opinion for facts, Buzzfeed reported that MSNBC´s recent ratings should "make Fox News nervous." It seems the main reason Fox should be nervous is because its featured stars and its back bench correspondents are "weak" according to Buzzfeed Politics.
