As America prepares to celebrate the ringing in of 2013 and the reelection of a Marxist as President, I think we should also review the EMP threat before America’s lights go out. Notice, I did not say “if.” It’s a matter of “when.” I’ve had many on both sides of the aisle ridicule my statements on the threats from Russia and China. Well, the despots may have the last laugh. Add to those two, Iran and North Korea, as well as a string of smaller despotic countries and you have a threat unparalleled in history just waiting to bring America

I´ve always pretty much hated New Year´s Eve and New Year´s Day. But for a long time I couldn´t figure out why. Now, I finally get it: They´re downright innocuous. Here then, in no particular order are the Ten Big Reason why the New Year´s "holiday" is dumb, dumb, dumb:

The truth is we need real professionals to implement security devices and techniques in our schools to at least make it more difficult for homicidal maniacs to ply their trade in our schools. Arming teachers who are capable and have the guts to confront evil, perhaps even paying them more to attend seminars to train in procedures, would be a first step in making our schools more secure. I am talking about seminars taught by professional SWAT and Special Forces instructors, not incompetent boobs like Janet Napolitano. We can’t prevent school shootings, but we can damn well minimize the damage

“Tax The Rich” Thrown Out In Socialist France

France’s Socialist President, Francois Hollande, had his hat handed to him when France’s highest court revoked his 75% tax on the rich, saying that “it’s unfair.” The court took issue with the way it discriminated between households of one versus two earners. France’s budget deficit is approximately 85 billion euro and the tax would have brought in only about 200 million euro… a tiny drop in a very large bucket. But as we know, bloated Socialist governments know no bounds when it comes to satisfying their insatiable greed and intense desire to enslave the people. Unemployment in France has risen for 19

Accentuated by the recent heinous events at Sandy Hook, I have lately heard an increase in the never-really-absent mantra of “ban them, ban them, ban them all,” where the “them” referred to is a poorly defined item with a politically made up name which capitalizes on a semantic nuance of the poor (or at least marginal) translation of a German word, co-opted into a bogeyman term used to frighten some, shame others, and generally interdict rationality and reason so that emotion reigns, while logic lies wounded at its feet. The Sandy Hook incident was a gut punch for many, some of

Following the Newtown massacre there has been an outcry from the left for more and tougher gun laws. Sen. Dianne Feinstein has proposed another assault weapons ban with more teeth than the previous ban. Exactly what are consequences of tough gun laws? Let us construct a hypothetical place with some strict gun laws:

Let’s regulate the sale, possession and use of firearms.

Let’s regulate ammunition.

During Morgan´s Monday, December 24 broadcast of his cable spectacle, CNN´s British import once again attacked America’s most deeply held principles by slamming both the Constitution and the Bible.

England is known for its spiraling abandonment of the faith. Now they´re abandoning reason: A team from West Middlesex University Hospital said violent crime is on the increase - and kitchen knives are used in as many as half of all stabbings. They argued many assaults are committed impulsively, prompted by alcohol and drugs, and a kitchen knife often makes an all too available weapon. The research is published in the British Medical Journal...

That´s the title to a post by Steve Kraske at the KC Star´s Midwest Democracy blog. The reference is to Kansas Senator Jerry Moran(R), a founding member of the Senate Tea Party caucus dedicated to cutting government spending and reducing the federal debt. The obvious implication is Sen. Moran(R) is a hypocritical big spender, not a fiscal conservative.

Kraske´s headline was distilled from a more in depth USA Today article syndicated across the country by its corporate parent, Gannet, Inc. The USA Today headline was even more unflattering than the Star´s, yet that doesn´t surprise me, as these narratives against

By certain measures, “overall secrecy has actually increased rather than declined,” said Steven Aftergood, who runs the Federation of American Scientists’ Project on Government Secrecy. “Criminalization of unauthorized disclosures of information to the press has risen sharply, becoming a preferred tactic. Efforts to promote public accountability in controversial aspects of counterterrorism policy such as targeted killing have been blocked by threadbare, hardly credible national security secrecy claims.”

A Washington Post report from this past summer concluded that “by some measures the government is keeping more secrets than before.”
