President Obama has signed a law that will give himself and all presidents Secret Service protection for life, reversing a law passed during the Clinton administration that gave former presidents a security detail for only 10 years after leaving office.

Back in March of 2009, a bill aimed exclusively at the Catholic Church, was introduced to the Connecticut State Legislature. Wikipedia picks it up from there:
The bill, introduced in March 2009, was sponsored by Democratic state senators Mike Lawlor and Andrew J. McDonald.
On March 10, 2009, the bill was tabled... however...

It looks to me (and to a lot of other people) as if there is an overwhelming desire to correlate and transpose the images of Barack Obama and Abraham Lincoln. Not just in some idealized romanticized physical fashion, but rather in the truest sense of comparison of ideologies and philosophies. It also looks to me as if there is a desired intent to draw parallels and similarities between the two men, as if by some cosmic design, Barack Obama has in fact become the reincarnation of Abraham Lincoln.
None of these comparisons are by chance...

The restless hunt for stimulants across the whole range of human time and space is beyond question, dispute or even doubt. The historical record on this is as clear as anything in history can ever be.
It is strange that cultural anthropologists have never drawn the obvious lesson from this. They all seem to assume that agriculture began when game and wild gatherings began to run out. Yet it is plain silly to assume that the universal desire for stimulants can only have post-dated the beginnings of agriculture.
Prior to the miracles of modern chemistry all stimulants were the products of

One of the best non-fiction books I’ve read in I don’t know how long is Ben Shapiro’s Primetime Propaganda: The True Hollywood Story of How the Left Took Over Your TV. The book’s beauty rests on two solid pillars. The first is that Ben, who is so sweet-faced he looks as if he couldn’t hurt a fly, got liberal TV producers, writers, and directors to speak openly about the fact that they intended their TV shows — all of which were sold to the public as entertainment and all of which were, indeed, entertaining — to be propaganda vehicles for

Words matter, President Obama once said. He’s right. How we choose words gives a very good insight into our feelings upon the subject under discussion. In the current debate regarding the Second Amendment, conservatives have made the mistake of ceding oratorical control to the Left. How? By accepting the phrase “gun control” as the operative phrase to describe the debate. Calling the debate “gun control” presupposes that there will be control — i.e., that government control over guns is the end, rather than the means.

But the world is at risk. I doubt that other countries will step up to stop Russia and China from exploiting the advantages they hold outside of negotiations while they talk endlessly inside negotiations. Russia is expanding its influence in Georgia, Ukraine, Syria, Iran, and, as the United States leaves, central Asia. China is doing the same in North Korea, the Taiwan Strait, Pakistan, and along the first island chain in the Pacific. Someone has to be there to limit their options.
Meanwhile, American allies are restless, especially Israel and Japan. They know that if America retreats, it will be a
