If Hillary really doesn´t run for president in 2016, it is so hard for the Washington Post to "imagine the presidential field without a woman contender" that the paper has decided to look at who might replace her. And the paper has arrived at... Janet Napolitano?

Media Is Shocked That Our President Needs To “Back Up His Words with Proof”

The lengths our MSM goes to to protect this President, unlike any other President, is just plain disgusting:

"co-host Matt Lauer worried about the precedent that had been set: “So like releasing the birth certificate a year or so ago, this is the next step, that now the President always has to back up his words with proof?”"

...we have strayed into dangerous territory when a member of our media is aghast that our President needs to back up what he says with proof. Are you freaking kidding me?

(snip)Butt really; it’s time to Move On.Org and I’ve been assigned the all important job of changing the narrative. Because while we may not have any bigger butts(snip)we do have bigger fish to fry. For example what, exactly, will Lady M be spending her time on for these next 4 years? MsNBC thinks they have an inside track on that...

Barack Obama won re-election by perpetrating three frauds: 1. He sold the American people on the idea that we were in the midst of a slow recovery. Given time, he assured us, we would grow our way out of the recession and all would be fine. Nonsense. We now learn — three months after the balloting — that we were entering a recession even as the president spoke. The fourth quarter of 2012 showed a negative growth rate of 0.1 percent, the first contraction in three years. Far from standing on the verge of prosperity, we were tumbling into a new

Put on your shocked faces: Since my bipartisan call last week for Democratic women to join the Ladies Against Senator Sleaze-Bob movement, not a single Democratic woman in Washington has signed up. Here’s the thing. The brewing scandal involving N.J. Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez, the new chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, is not just a “sex scandal.” It’s a crony corruption scandal of sordid, soap operatic proportions.

Anyone who’s ever held and fired any firearm has to be chuckling. Our First Defender of the Second Amendment holds the gun like a pampered prince just handed a broom and told to sweep the floor for the first time in his life. The picture is great for a laugh, but its true value is recognizing it as a product of Barack’s unabashed propaganda machine at full spin.

The cinematic auteur who has made nihilism, anarchy and gratuitous, chaotic violence hip, cool and very, very ”funny” for those with an elevated consciousness. For those of us with a more conventional disposition and outlook, he’s just another art world hustler/hack with a gimmick home-cooked & served up hot to a lot of self-styled sophisticates looking for the next New Thing.

I heard this on the radio yesterday and it stopped me. I then looked for and found the video and it moved me. I thought of a number of people whose world is shaking. I thought of those times when my world was shaking. And even now, I think of how my world is likely to shake again. Dear reader, so will yours if isn´t shaking now. Into all that shaking comes a steady hand. Find some place quiet, some place where you can lose yourself if only for a few minutes, and listen, really listen, to this thing of beauty...

To sum up the memo (available here) it says that the US can target a citizen for death if they believe a threat to be “imminent” even when no threat is immediately present. The citizen must have been involved in “activities”, but doesn’t define “activities,” and it’s not up to the US to prove that the citizen is a imminent threat, no…instead the citizen must prove to one sole government official that he has renounced and abandoned the “activities”

Remember the wails, screams, protests, endless newscasts and so on when Bush just detained and eavesdropped on Americans.

Now Obama targets them for

This is great... and I think we need to see more of it across the country: Charlottesville, Va., has become the first city in the United States to formally pass an anti-drone resolution. The resolution, passed Monday, "calls on the United States Congress and the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Virginia to adopt legislation prohibiting information obtained from the domestic use of drones from being introduced into a Federal or State court," and "pledges to abstain from similar uses with city-owned, leased, or borrowed drones." The resolution passed by a 3-2 vote...

Ed Morrissey links here to one of the most chilling things I’ve heard in ages: Worth watching in its entirety, as Joe Scarborough pings the consequences of the drone-strike memo back and forth with Michael Isikoff, but the best reactions take place near the beginning of the video. Isikoff points out that the restrictive language in the memo is almost meaningless, and that it shifts the burden of proof to the target rather than the government. Scarborough calls this “frightening,” and argues that it far surpasses anything done by the Bush administration in the war on terror… I can’t get the video

So what do all of these studies tell us? Quite a bit, actually. Not about conservatives or Fox News viewers, but about the leftists who feel the need to continuously conduct these studies for their own self affirmation. I read a lot of conservative news sources, and I don’t recall seeing studies that tell us we’re more intelligent than those on the left. To make a broad generalization, I’d guess that if we surveyed every person from both ends of the spectrum I think we’d see more formal intelligence on the left and more common sense on the right. I spend ridiculous amounts of my time trying to convince my children that, while “Give me that!” and “May I have that, please”, mean the same thing, their chances of success are much greater with the second phrase. I repeat ad nauseum that it’s not what you say, it’s how you say it. People respond not only to a statement’s core message, but to the packaging around that message.
