As a matter of professional ethics, public school teachers should not use their classroom to advance a specific viewpoint. It’s not just that teachers receive their pay from taxpayers who don’t wish to see their money used to indoctrinate captive children in views antithetical to some or all of the taxpayers. Instead of trying to force people away from a choice they clearly prefer to make since they are willing to spend their hard earned money on in fossil fuel based energy, why not offer them alternatives? If you want people to use renewable energy stop paying members of Congress to force other people to pay for it. Go out and use your own money for these projects! And even better, these companies could hire predominately young, unemployed people, pay them high union wages with generous pay and benefits, and watch the company take off! Well, President Obama has had 83 vacation days overall and at least 57 vacation days since that much-heralded pledge. That´s quite a lot of rest, don´t you think? It´s only February but last night one of the President´s statements became leading contender for the Lie of the Year:
Tonight, I’ll lay out additional proposals that are fully paid for and fully consistent with the budget framework both parties agreed to just 18 months ago. Let me repeat – nothing I’m proposing tonight should increase our deficit by a single dime.

There’s a story told about a Paris chief of police who was called to a department store to stop a burglary in progress. Upon his arrival, he reconnoitered the situation and ordered his men to surround the entrances of the building next door. When questioned about his actions, he replied that he didn’t have enough men to cover the department store’s many entrances but he did have enough for the building next door.
