Recently NPR´s Morning Edition aired a segment on Chicago’s “gun violence” featuring taped comments from local Catholic Priest Father Michael Pfleger. Unfortunately the taxpayer-funded radio show presented Pflager as a benign “social activist” and never informed listeners of just how radical this man is.

Turns out the New York Times is worried about the future of the Republican Party. So concerned, in fact, it has dedicated more than 6,000 words in this week’s magazine to explore, as the title puts it, “Can The Republicans Be Saved From Obsolescence?” Indeed, the folks at The Times seem extremely concerned that which they hate might not survive. And by “concerned” I mean they’re hoping.

Nothing really stuns me anymore about the Left and their lunacy. That was until this week when soulless Columbia professor Mark Lamont Hill appeared on CNN and got giddy about cop killer Chris Dorner. Hill said Dorner’s murderous revenge spree was “exciting,” and was like Jamie Foxx’s character in Tarantino’s latest flick, D’jango Unchained.

Hagakure: The Book of the Samurai is a classic 300 year old book about bushido, which is the Samurai’s “way of the warrior.” There’s a lot of wisdom in the book, although all of it is not applicable to modern life. Even in the areas where Yamamoto Tsunetomo’s honor code doesn’t quite fit, it still entertains and fascinates, as you’re about to see.

If the racial epithets allegedly used by Alec Baldwin during a confrontation with a New York Post reporter in New York City had instead been credited to having come out of the mouth of anyone on the Right, that person would already have been fired from their job. Alec Baldwin, however, will most likely do a Saturday Night Live spoof or credit card commercial about the incident!

Stephen White, writing at the Huffington Post (yes, the Huffington Post) with an outstanding piece well worth your time: Religion, we are told, is an escape an attempt to explain away the pain and suffering and impossible contradictions of human life. Religion, we are reminded, is full of stuff we tell ourselves to make ourselves feel better. Or worse. Religion is something we tell others in order to control them. It´s not belief in God, per se, that disturbs our sophisticated, post-modern sensibilities. It´s religion; especially of the organized sort. So we´re all spiritual, but...

Before Barack, there was Jesse. One of the great modern American shakedown kings. Jesse learned somewhere along the line that a permanently helpless bloc of disenchanted, mired-down blacks would provide him with both a lavish lifestyle and moral legitimacy. What would a Jesse Jackson do without millions of angry, disgruntled, disenfranchised black people? Substitute "people" for "black people," and you have today´s Democratic Party.

At the end of Frank´s post, he references a book. I reviewed that same book, two years ago now, here. Hope you´ll not miss that either. Carry on...

In case anyone had any doubt, the Leftists have been busy little Marxists in Israel — that includes Obama. NGO Monitor just released its latest report on foreign government funding of radical political Israeli NGOs which are working in earnest to undermine Israel’s international standing and subvert Israeli society. Most people assume that the financiers of anti-Jew propaganda are Europeans. Well, they now are brothers in arms with the US government. American taxpayers are actively funding (without their knowledge) political campaigns against Israel and her citizens. It is a subversive technique to force Israel to go back to the 1967

So what we have after four years of Obama lovin’ is a country on a path to becoming Greece. Just as Greece lead the way to Democracy thousands of years ago they now lead a parade of nations into default.

How can they not see it’s all unsustainable?

"It’s characteristic of the time that we’re living in that there simply is no sense of consequence.
