This, introduced to the legislature in the state of Washington, is more than simply alarming: Forget police drones flying over your house. How about police coming inside, once a year, to have a look around? As Orwellian as that sounds, it isn’t hypothetical. The notion of police home inspections was introduced in a bill last week in Olympia. That it’s part of one of the major gun-control efforts pains me...

The global warming hoaxers like to talk about a consensus of scientific thought supporting their theory that climate change is man-made. There is one major problem with that claimits not true! A peer-reviewed study in the Journal of Organization Studies reports that only 36 percent of geoscientists and engineers believe that humans are creating a global warming crisis. The vast majority of the 1,077 respondents believe that nature is the primary cause of recent global warming and/or that future global warming is not a very serious problem.

Bill Maher: The Israelis Do Control The State Dept.

In case you missed the Bill Maher show on HBO this weekend (and I suggest you do) the host of Real Time echoed the anti-Semitic meme uttered by Chuck Hagel in a speech at Rutgers, that the Israelis control the US Government (especially the state department). Perhaps the HBO star believes in other myths ripped from the Protocols of the Elders of Zion. The crazy part of it all is that even in pro-Israel administrations the State Department´s has an anti-Israel history.

As Bryan Preston and Stephen Kruiser noted last week, the liberal media has mounted a campaign to destroy Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas). He’s a high priority target because he goes against everything the media has said about the Tea Party, and conservatism in general. For all the talk about the Tea Party’s anti-intellectualism, Cruz received his B.A. at Princeton University, and his Juris Doctor at Harvard University. He also clerked for Chief Justice William Rehnquist. As George Will wrote back in June of 2011,

Conservatives and the GOP have been participating in different conversations than liberals for decades. While conservatives seek to engage in conversations about finding solutions for problems, liberals ignore them and steam ahead building their progressive utopia, regardless of the impact on the actual problems themselves.

...This is the liberal modus operandi: Demagoguery. Rather than engage in thoughtful discussions on the goals and efficacy of government regulations, they seek to demonize their opponents and in the process marginalize then sideline them.

Mitt Romney was just the latest causality of this Democratic pseudo defamation machine… He’s rich and wants lower taxes, therefore he hates

President´s Day originally began as an unofficial day of remembrance for George Washington after his death 1799. His birthday of February 22nd marked the day.

"At the time, Washington was venerated as the most important figure in American history, and events like the 1832 centennial of his birth and the start of construction of the Washington Monument in 1848 were cause for national celebration."

One of the main discussions in this ginned up, fact-free anti-gun debate coming from the Democrats and their fellow extreme leftists is that they want "universal background checks" for gun purchases. So, "background checks" are a good idea to left-wingers... but in all cases? As it happens, NO is the answer to that. Democrats don´t want universal background checks in all cases.

Turns out the New York Times is worried about the future of the Republican Party. So concerned, in fact, it has dedicated more than 6,000 words in this week’s magazine to explore, as the title puts it, “Can The Republicans Be Saved From Obsolescence?” Indeed, the folks at The Times seem extremely concerned that which they hate might not survive. And by “concerned” I mean they’re hoping.

Nothing really stuns me anymore about the Left and their lunacy. That was until this week when soulless Columbia professor Mark Lamont Hill appeared on CNN and got giddy about cop killer Chris Dorner. Hill said Dorner’s murderous revenge spree was “exciting,” and was like Jamie Foxx’s character in Tarantino’s latest flick, D’jango Unchained.

Hagakure: The Book of the Samurai is a classic 300 year old book about bushido, which is the Samurai’s “way of the warrior.” There’s a lot of wisdom in the book, although all of it is not applicable to modern life. Even in the areas where Yamamoto Tsunetomo’s honor code doesn’t quite fit, it still entertains and fascinates, as you’re about to see.

If the racial epithets allegedly used by Alec Baldwin during a confrontation with a New York Post reporter in New York City had instead been credited to having come out of the mouth of anyone on the Right, that person would already have been fired from their job. Alec Baldwin, however, will most likely do a Saturday Night Live spoof or credit card commercial about the incident!

Stephen White, writing at the Huffington Post (yes, the Huffington Post) with an outstanding piece well worth your time: Religion, we are told, is an escape an attempt to explain away the pain and suffering and impossible contradictions of human life. Religion, we are reminded, is full of stuff we tell ourselves to make ourselves feel better. Or worse. Religion is something we tell others in order to control them. It´s not belief in God, per se, that disturbs our sophisticated, post-modern sensibilities. It´s religion; especially of the organized sort. So we´re all spiritual, but...

Before Barack, there was Jesse. One of the great modern American shakedown kings. Jesse learned somewhere along the line that a permanently helpless bloc of disenchanted, mired-down blacks would provide him with both a lavish lifestyle and moral legitimacy. What would a Jesse Jackson do without millions of angry, disgruntled, disenfranchised black people? Substitute "people" for "black people," and you have today´s Democratic Party.
